Common Questions

Everything you need to know before booking your seat.

Do I need any coffee experience to attend?
Not at all — the Beginner Latte Art Workshop and the Brewers Class are both designed for people with zero barista experience. If you've never touched an espresso machine or a pour-over, you're in the right place. Just bring your curiosity.
What's the difference between Beginner and Intermediate?
The Beginner class covers foundational espresso skills and your first latte art patterns (heart, tulip, rosette). The Intermediate class assumes you can already pour basic designs and focuses on precision, advanced patterns, competition-level consistency, and feedback at a higher technical standard.
What is the Brewers Class exactly?
The Brewers Class is all about manual brewing methods — V60, Chemex, and AeroPress. You'll learn how grind size, water temperature, pour technique, and brew ratio all affect flavor, then practice hands-on with guidance from Joseph Gonzalez (The BxBarista). It's perfect for home coffee lovers who want to level up beyond a basic drip machine.
What should I wear?
Classes are hands-on and involve espresso and milk — wear something you're comfortable getting a little splashed on. We recommend avoiding white tops, but the venue is covered if any spills happen.
Is the venue accessible?
Yes — Château Le Woof is located at 3101 Vernon Blvd in Astoria, Queens, and is accessible by multiple subway and bus lines. The space is ground level and accessible. Reach out to us at info@espressostateofmind.com with any specific accommodation questions.
Can I book a private or corporate class?
Absolutely. ESOM offers private and corporate group workshops — perfect for team outings, brand activations, and client events. Email us at info@espressostateofmind.com for availability and custom pricing.
